The Mitchell's, Jennifer, Sean and Victoria were taken to the Columbia, SC airport this morning at 7:30, two hours prior to departure time as required by Airport and Homeland Security. At 11:30 Jennifer called to say they were still in Columbia, their 9:30 flight had been cancelled because of the American Airlines problems in Chicago. They were being rerouted and were about to board a flight to Dulles (Wash DC), from there to LA, connecting with a flight which would get them to Beijing early Saturday morning instead of Friday night. She said she would call or email at the first available opportunity. At midnight here in SC we have still not had any contact, so we can only assume things are going according to the new schedule. Their two little boys are sleeping peacefully, her Dad is getting ready for bed and I am sending this message on for her. Please remember them in your prayers.

Have fun with the boys! Funny how you hurry and scurry to get to a 17 hour flight where you just sit and think about getting to your baby! I remember bringing a big book and an ipod, i read only a few pages, just watched that little plane on the monitor making it's way to our daughter! Ann from Pingliang yahoo group
Oh I've soo BTDT with the missed flights and travel problems. It took us 45 hours and our 3rd planned flight to Beijing was the lucky one! I will be praying for them!

Jennifer, Hang in there. I hope by the time you read this you will all be in Beijing. You are in our prayers. We can't wait to see Abby! I remember how tired I was when we finally got to the hotel in Beijing, but trust me on this, when you see Abby, it will all be a memory. God bless, Love Michelle
